We are finally allowed to return to dancing and continue this wonderful journey of learning how to dance. However, for many, this can be both daunting as well as exciting. I have been talking to several students over the last couple of weeks how to get the most out of returning to the dance floor.

The Tango often stands out from the other Ballroom dances due to its passionate, flirtatious style and sharp staccato movements.  It is easily identifiable in films and tv shows that often exaggerate these characteristics to create drama and anticipation between the characters.

The word “Technique” is often seen as an intimidating word when mentioned to most social dancers. The belief is that technique is “not relevant to my goals” and is “only for competitors, looking to become champions”. Although it is true that we study dance technique to enhance our performance, there are many reasons you should improve your technique.

Last time, we shared a playlist of music that could easily be found online for dancers to practice whilst staying at home. We decided that we also wanted to provide music options that are suitable for younger dancers who also want to practice whilst at home. Check out the list below!

During the CoVid-19 lockdown, we must keep our bodies active and our brains engaged. There are plenty of things we can do to practice whilst at home, however, it is much more fun doing it to music! To help you practice, here is a playlist we think you can dance to whilst staying at home!
